Beautiful 🌊 KOSTRENA ☀️is placed In the very north of the Adriatic Sea on the right side of the city of Rijeka.
Kostrena offers a view on the entire Kvarner Bay🐬 and our nature park Učka.
This place is home to many sailors ⚓ who jealously guards the long tradition of seafaring. The love for the sea has been passed from generation to generation, so many local families have several generations of sailors or captains.
Kostrena is only a few minutes drive from the center of Rijeka. It is adorned with a 5 km long promenade by the sea (lungo mare) where you can enjoy the smell of the sea🐠🐟🐳🐋🐬🐧🦆, birds chirping🕊️🐦🦢🦜, walking, swimming on one of the many natural pebble beaches or enjoy solitude on the rocks of one of the bays reading a book or sitting in one of the many cafes , restaurants, fast food, beach bars and beach clubs.
If you decide for sports, there are sailing, diving, tennis, jet skiing, running, cycling, exercising on outdoor equipment at the top of our Kostrena promenade - the so-called Trim trail. If you want city bustle, shopping, museums, cinemas, theaters or walks through the old town exploring Roman archeological sites - you can find it all in Rijeka, whose center is 10 minutes from the center of Kostrena. Opatija Bajna or Crikvenica are 25 minutes away by car, and Kostrena is an ideal starting point for discovering the beauties of Kvarner and Gorski Kotar in combination with accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of a large place right next to the clear sea and promenade.
