Dear friends and guests,

With heavy hearts, we share the sad news that our beloved father, friend, and host, Ivo, passed away on January 20th—just one week after the loss of his most loyal companion and best friend, our dear dog Buzz. This has been an unimaginable shock and a deeply painful loss for our family, and for many of you who knew and loved him, sharing countless summer days with him—grilling fresh fish, enjoying his own olive oil and local wines.

Ivo’s cheerfulness, warm smile, and genuine hospitality made the villa a place where people truly felt welcome and at home. His presence gave the villa its heart.

We, his children, are committed to honoring his legacy by continuing what he loved so much. From summer 2026 onwards, we plan to keep welcoming guests to the villa, trying to carry forward the spirit, warmth, and hospitality that Ivo created.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and understanding during this difficult time.

We’ll let you in on a local secret. Take a long, evening swim from Mala Plaža to the point in the direction of Drašnice. There are wild fig trees growing right down to the beach, so in August you can have a fresh fig while you rest for a few minutes before returning. Only for good swimmers!
