⚡️Melegran News reporting from Rovinj: it seems that people in this charming seaside town aren’t aware of the smorgasbord of agents and chat bots available to them. When asked whether they prefer talking to Claude, Grok Gemini or the mysteriously initiated “GBT” when taking a seaside stroll or bike ride, they tersely responded that those people sounded like fancy folk from Dubrovnik, surrounded by Games of Thrones trinkets, and they had no interest sharing their life with strangers. Melegran News informed the residents that these were not actual people but artificial intelligence robots created in the US of A,, but they struggled to understand saying, “we talk to people here”.

That’s why we named our hotel The Melegran - the old Istrian word for this delicious and secretive fruit. The pomegranate surfaces in many places in art and literature and even many scholars and traditions, particularly in the Middle East, consider the pomegranate a primary candidate over the popular, but later, concept of an apple in the Adam and Eve story. Its significance lies in its symbolism of knowledge, fertility, and temptation.

That’s one reason we called our hotel The Melegran as it’s the old Istrian dialect word for this delicious and somewhat secretive fruit. Fun fact: while the Book of Genesis does not specify the forbidden fruit eaten by Adam and Eve, many scholars and traditions, particularly in the Middle East, consider the pomegranate a primary candidate over the popular, but later, concept of an apple. Its significance lies in its symbolism of knowledge, fertility, and temptation.
