Why we love Rovinj in spring and early autumn?

Because the rhythm outside the height of summer is different - calm and unhurried. 🌿

In April and May, the town feels lighter. The streets are easier to walk, the sea is calm and the days stretch comfortably between morning coffee, a long walk, and dinner by the water. It is a good time for unhurried exploring through the old town and along the coast.

September and October bring that balance back again. The light turns warmer, the air softer, and the pace slows down. Roads are quieter, terraces less crowded, and the town feels more spacious without losing its energy.

For many of our guests, these months are not a compromise - they are when Rovinj feels most authentic.

What does a relaxed 4-day stay in Rovinj look like?

🚲 Day 3: Make it an active day: cycle to Bale and back. It’s a beautiful full-day ride through quiet roads and green scenery, with time for a coffee and a slow walk through cobblestone streets.
🌊 Day 4: Finish with a well-deserved beach day - swim, read and let the day unfold without a schedule.

🚲 Did you know that the Rovinj region offers more than 20 cycling routes, ranging from easy coastal rides to more demanding inland trails?

For guests looking for a relaxed option, we recommend the 9 km Stories from a Woodman’s Cottage route. It leads through Punta Corrente Park Forest and nearby bays, is mostly flat, closed to traffic and suitable for mountain, trekking and electric bikes.

It’s an easy ride that can be done in under an hour - or longer, if you choose to slow down and enjoy the surroundings. 🌸
