Ivan Lenković, the captain of the Senj Uskoks, ordered all churches and monasteries outside the town walls to be destroyed and a new fortress on the Trbušnjak hill to be built.🏰

Today, the fortress serves primarily as a museum.

Nehaj fortress is 10 minutes on foot from the center of the Town of Senj.
