Located in a countryside area near the city of Sibenik, the apartment is perfectly suited for visitors looking for a quiet spot, away from the always crowded tourist locations. Surrounded by the green landscape and detached from annoying city traffic jams, because of its proximity to a number of interesting sites the apartment can serve as a sort of a base, starting place for various trips and exc
ursions. It’s a large and spacious place extending over 70 square meters (750 square foot), has two bedrooms (one double and two single beds) with a bathroom and fully functional kitchen, along with the secure parking place. With the typical plethora of kitchen appliances (fridge, stove, oven, microwave … ), the apartment is both air-conditioned and heated (in case you are visiting the area during autumn or winter months), featuring the usual amenities (satellite TV, DVD Stereo System, Wi-Fi internet). It also includes a terrace, best used to enjoy the morning shade, or the evening calmness, after the sun sets over. At the top of the packed “must-see” list are two (of only eight in Croatia) national parks, Krka and Kornati, each one accessible with a ten-minute car drive. You’ll also enjoy the medieval scenery of the old town Sibenik (five minute drive), complemented with the amazing St Jacob’s cathedral, numerous churches and a handful of fortresses with a spectacular view of the surrounding area (both onshore and offshore). If you don’t feel like driving, you can simply enjoy the nature and explore the local trails and strolling routes (by foot or by bike), offering the stress-free moments of tranquility while on vacation. On the other hand, an hour-long drive will take you to either Zadar (north), Trogir or Split (south), down with huge number of other locations worth a visit, and half an hour longer you’re at the entrance of the Plitvice national park. I admit, it can be a bit of a stretch, but only because once you get there, you would want to spend an entire day touring the famous lakes and waterfalls. You can enjoy the sea and the sun all along the coastline, including both the rocky and the sand beaches, coupled with beach bars, cafés, taverns and restaurants. Short ferry trips can take you to the small nearby islands, and at the same time you can try the unusual combo on the Lake Prukljan (I know, it’s a tough one to pronounce!), where river Krka flows into the sea. Or if you’re an adrenaline ju**ie, the bungee jumping, all easily within reach.
