What’s the story with our cats? 🐾
Our founder Dora has been a passionate cat lover and rescuer for many years. During the covid years, she lived at the hostel with some of her own cats, and over time, neighborhood street cats started showing up for food, care, and a safe place to rest. A few moved in permanently while others visit us every few days or just occasionally.
We spay and neuter the regulars, and look after them when they need medical attention. Little by little, we earned the reputation of being ‘the cat hostel’.🐱
The situation for street cats in Croatia isn’t always easy, but we try to do our small part to help. A part of the profits from the hostel goes towards the care of our cats and other rescue efforts in Split and Dalmatia.
