Crkva Sv. Mikule u Velom Varošu u Splitu. Na nadvratniku pročelja uklesan je natpis ovako preveden s latinskog: "Pomoću Kristovom sagradi hram znameniti i slavni Ivan sa ženom Tihom, koju drugu poslije prve oženi". (prva žena je umrla). Crkva je djelo domaćih majstora koji su kroz 12. stoljeće spojili predromanički i romanički stil.

Crkva tvrđava Sv. Marije u Vrboskoj

Jedan od najznačajnih spomenika otoka Hvara zasigurno je Crkva –tvrđava, izgrađena 1571.g. nakon turskog napada, i to na mjestu starije crkve koja datira još iz 1465. g. Crkva ima oblik utvrde s osmatračnicom i puškarnicom, a s vrha tvrđave pruža se predivan panoramski pogled na okolna mjesta i polja. w w w. otokhvar.hr
