Prvo što vam plijeni oko pri ulasku u kompleks je slikovito unutarnje dvorište. Ispod divovske tende s cvjetnim uzorkom nalazi se veliki stol za druženje (uz roštilj) i kromirani ventilator. Biljke određuju atmosferu - sve je zeleno. Smokva i mandarina stvaraju lijepi hlad. Gostima su na raspolaganju i bicikli koji se nalaze u ulaznom dijelu kuće. Svugdje se nalaze originalni ukrasni predmeti koji naglašuju karakter kuće - Goa sunce, padobran, vrtni patuljci, daska za surfanje, mreže za ribolov i brojni drugi elementi. Na stražnjem dijelu, tik uz vanjsku kuhinju i roštilj, slažu se drva za roštilj. To je ugodan, slikovit nered, koji vas poziva na opuštanje.

Kuća je „pola- pola“ u stilu, klasične dalmatinske gradnje od opeke i betona. Relativno jeftini apartmani i sobe (s vlastitim ili zajedničkim tušem / wc-om u hodniku) su jednostavni, a dio namještaja datira iz Titove ere. Dobrodošli u staru Jugoslaviju. Ako očekujete luksuzan i šik dizajn, ovo je pogrešna adresa. Ali ako cijenite originalnost, toplu atmosferu, autentični balkanski duh i iskreno, živo gostoprimstvo, ovo je mjesto za vas. Sklonište za individualiste koji žele bolje upoznati zemlju i njene ljude ...

To osiguravaju vlasnik Svetko "Svele" Bošnjak i njegova supruga Slobodanka, zvana "Boda". Osim srpsko hrvatskog oboje tečno govore njemački- čak i sa švapskim naglaskom - jer je Ludwigsburg kod Stuttgarta njihov drugi dom. Sve do umirovljenja, Svele je radio kao majstor automobila za Porsche. Također je majstor za roštilj, koji voli pripremiti za svoje goste. Tu je riba i / ili meso u balkanskom stilu s domaćim salatama / prilozima. Na zahtjev gostiju može se pripremiti i janjetina na ražnju.

Vila Karamenlinka nalazi se u povijesnoj četvrti Malo Selo na rubu Starog Gradskog polja , koja je pod zaštitom UNESCO-a. Samo 5 minuta hoda do Starog Grada i 400 metara od plavog mora.

In the back area, right next to the outside kitchen area and the grill, wood is stacked for grilling. A cozy, picturesque mess, which invites you to relax. The house is "pola pola" in style ("half half") - classic Dalmatian brick construction meets 1960s concrete. The relatively inexpensive apartments and rooms (with their own or shared shower / toilet in the hallway) are kept simple, some furnishings still seem to date from the Tito era. Welcome to old Yugoslavia. If you expect luxury and chic design, this is the wrong address. But if you appreciate originality, a warm atmosphere, authentic Balkan flair and honest, lived hospitality, this is the place for you. A refuge for individualists who want to get to know the country and its people better ... This is ensured by the owner Svetko "Svele" Bosnjak and his wife Slobodanka, called "Boda". Both speak fluent German besides Serbo-Croatian - even with a Swabian accent – because Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart is their second home. Until his retirement, Svele worked as a master car mechanic for Porsche. He also masters the grill, which he likes to light up for his guests. There is fish and/or meat in the Balkan style with homemade salads/side dishes. Even lamb on spit on request. The Vila Karamenlinka is located in the historic district of Malo Selo ("Small Village") on the edge of the Stari Grad Field, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Only 5 minutes walk to the old town and 400 meters from the blue sea. Das erste, was einem beim Betreten der Anlage ins Auge sticht, ist der malerische Innenhof. Unter einer Riesenmarkise mit Blumenmuster kreist ein verchromter Ventilator über einem langem Tisch, der auch als Tafel für Grillabende dient. Pflanzen bestimmen das Bild - alles ist grün. Ein Feigen- und ein Mandarinenbaum spenden Schatten für weitere Sitzgruppen. Im Eingangsbereich stehen Fahrräder für die Gäste bereit. Und überall runden originelle Deko-Gegenstände die Stimmung ab – eine Goa-Sonne, ein Fallschirm, Gartenzwerge, ein Surfboard, Fischernetze und zahlreiche andere Elemente. Im hinteren Bereich, gleich neben Außenkochnische und dem Rost, stapelt sich Holz zum Grillen. Ein gemütliches, pitoreskes Durcheinander, welches zum entspannten Verweilen einlädt.

Das Haus ist stilmäßig „pola pola“ („halb und halb“) – klassische dalmatinische Backstein-Bauweise trifft auf 60er-Jahre-Beton. Die relativ günstigen Apartments und Zimmer (mit eigener oder Gemeinschafts-Dusche/Toilette auf dem Flur) sind einfach gehalten, einige Einrichtungsgegenstände scheinen noch aus Tito-Zeiten zu stammen. Willkommen im alten Jugoslawien. Wer Luxus und schickes Design erwartet ist hier bei der falschen Adresse. Wer aber Ursprünglichkeit, herzliche Atmosphäre, authentischen Balkan Flair und ehrliche, gelebte Gastfreundschaft schätzt, ist hier goldrichtig. Ein Refugium für Individualisten, die Land und Leute näher kennen lernen möchten...

Dafür sorgen die Betreiber Svetko „Svele“ Bosnjak und seine Frau Slobodanka, genannt„Boda“. Beide sprechen neben Serbokroatisch fließend Deutsch – dies sogar mit schwäbischen Akzent. Ist doch ihre zweite Heimat Ludwigsburg bei Stuttgart. Bis zu seiner Pensionierung war Svele als KFZ-Meister für Porsche tätig. Meisterhaft beherscht er auch den Grill den er gerne für seine Gäste anfeuert. Es gibt Fisch und/oder Fleisch auf Balkanart mit hausgemachten Salaten/Beilagen. Auf Anfrage sogar Lamm am Spiess.

Die Vila Karamenlinka befindet sich im historischen Ortsteil Malo Selo („Kleines Dorf“) am Rande des sich unter Welt-Unesco-Kulturerbe befindlichen Stari-Grader-Feldes. Nur 5 Minuten Fußweg zur Altstadt und 400 Meter vom blauen Meer entfernt.
