Blue crab stole the spotlight 🦀🌊

Our Oleander Terrace turned into a mini Adriatic classroom as little explorers from Čigra Kindergarten joined Chef Ana Grgić Tomić and WWF Adria for a day filled with tasting, learning, workshops, and marine discovery.

From invasive species to sustainable choices, the youngest generation discovered how small everyday habits can help protect our sea 💙

Safe to say: the future of the Adriatic is in good hands 🐚✨

Invader in the spotlight: Little Sea Guardians & the story of the blue crab

We hosted a super special educational & foodie event on the Oleander Terrace as part of our “Being green is IN” project — this year all about “Protect the Blue”

The main character of the day? The blue crab

Kids from Čigra Kindergarten joined Chef Ana Grgić Tomić and WWF Adria for a hands-on experience packed with learning, tasting, playing, and a bit of marine discovery — exploring what happens when new invasive species enter the ecosystem.

Through workshops, tastings, and a lot of curiosity, kids learned the story of the blue crab, its role in nature, and how sustainability starts way earlier than you think — even on your plate.

By the end of the day, they proudly became our “Little Sea Guardians”

“Being green is IN” project, brins together partners - Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, Čigra Kindergarten, WWF Adria, Profil Klett, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, and Permansio Deluxe Getaways, and once again turnes education, gastronomy, and sustainability into a fun, hands-on experience for the youngest generation.
