"The Episcopal Church has its magnificent Campus on the Cost of Acardins in Montrouis, Haiti; a pleasant and splendid place is open to all social classes for such activities are: Summer camp, retreats, celebration and wedding reception, day trips and others.... This ancient jewel of the church fell into ruin after the closure of Theology Seminary which was housed in the campus and now needs major renovations.
I am the Reverend Father Jean-Marc VETINEL, Priest in charge of the St. Paul Parish in Montrouis and responsible for the Campus Quisqueya. This monumental task is not easy and I believe , thanks to your support and contribution, that the Campus, in terms of attendance, will find its past glory. The Campus operating a religious character, welcomes any class of people at a very derisory cost to facilitate the distraction of people.
Unfortunately, its operation is limited because of poor conditions in bedrooms, bathrooms and lack of furniture. The dormitories have a capacity to accommodate around 250 people, so the bathrooms and toilets can not meet the requirements of the environment. It is necessary to repair them, put them in good condition and strengthen the capacity of the bathrooms to accommodate larger groups for the benefit of the Campus.
The Campus had the opportunity to host, in a camp, the Cultural and Community Center of Cazale last July and see also the merry children who tell me stories eloquent on the past of the campus. In the past, campus space was so nice and lively, it makes me want to combine my efforts to make it more beautiful than ever.
