✨️ Közeledik az a pillanat, amiért egész évben dolgoztunk.
🟡 A fürtök lassan elérik a teljes érettséget, mi pedig figyelünk, kóstolunk és várunk. Ilyenkor már minden nap számít: alakulnak az ízek, változnak a savak, gyűlik a cukor – a szőlő pedig szépen lassan megmutatja, mikor áll készen.
🕛 A rajnai rizlinggel nem érdemes sietni. Még egy kis türelem, aztán irány a pince.

✨️ The moment we've been working towards all year is getting closer.
🟡 The grapes are slowly reaching full ripeness, while we watch, taste and wait. At this stage, every day counts: flavours are developing, acidity is changing, sugar levels are rising – and little by little, the grapes let us know when they're ready.
🕛 There's no need to rush Riesling. Just a little more patience, and then it's time for the cellar.

🌓 2021-ből már csak ketten maradtak: a Cottage Cheese és a Somewhere Eltz. Két rajnai rizling, amelyek ma is őrzik az évjárat karakterét, mindegyik a maga módján. És hogy mitől más a kettő? A válasz a dűlők kiválasztásában és a különböző mustfrakciókban rejlik.
🥂 Mindkét bor megmutatja, mit tud hozzátenni az idő egy rajnai rizlinghez. A pohárban az érett és szárított gyümölcsök, a mézes, ásványos jegyek és a finom sósság találkoznak, miközben az évek múlásával a rajnai rizlingre jellemző finom petrolosság is egyre inkább kibontakozik.
⏳️ Öt év palackos érés után most igazán érdemes felfedezni, hol tart ez a két 2021-es tétel.

🌓 Only two remain from 2021: Cottage Cheese and Somewhere Eltz. Two Rieslings that still carry the character of the vintage, each in its own way. And what makes them different? The answer lies in the choice of vineyards and the different must fractions.
🥂 Both wines show what time can bring to a Riesling. In the glass, ripe and dried fruit meet honeyed and mineral notes with a subtle touch of salinity, while the delicate petrol character so typical of aged Riesling has become increasingly expressive over the years.
⏳️ After five years of bottle ageing, now is a wonderful time to discover where these two wines from the 2021 vintage are today.

✨️ Ha augusztusban még szeretnél kiszakadni a mindennapokból, nálunk nemcsak egy pohár rajnai rizling vár.
A Villa Sandahl birtokközpontjában a szobáink a szőlőültetvények ölelésében várnak. Csend, panoráma, reggeli kávé a teraszon, este pedig egy pohár bor, miközben a nap lassan lebukik a Balaton fölött.
Nincs terv, amit kötelező követni. Csak néhány nyugodt nap, amikor ráérsz nézelődni, beszélgetni, sétálni a szőlőben...vagy egyszerűen csak semmit sem csinálni.
Ha még tartogatnál magadnak egy nyári kikapcsolódást, augusztusban szeret***el várunk.

At the Villa Sandahl estate, our rooms are surrounded by vineyards. Peace and quiet, sweeping views, morning coffee on the terrace, and a glass of wine in the evening as the sun slowly sets over Lake Balaton.

2023-as évjárat türelmet és odafigyelést kívánt. Talán éppen ezért olyan izgalmas ma újra végigkóstolni.
2023-ban bőséges csapadék érkezett. A szőlőben ez több odafigyelést kívánt, és hosszabb érési időt is adott. A szezon végének meleg, napos időjárása pedig lehetővé t***e, hogy a fürtök teljes érettségben, és ízgazdagon kerüljenek a pincébe.

Ebből a történetből született meg a Villa Sandahl 2023-as évjárata.

Ugyanaz a szőlőfajta. Ugyanaz az évjárat. Mégis három különböző történet:

- A Slow Down borunk (Solid ground) a gyümölcsök tisztaságát és a fajta lendületes oldalát mutatja.
- A Fly Butter Fly (Mid range) mélyebbre visz, összet***ebb szerkezetével és hosszabb lecsengésével.
- A Soft Feathers (Rare peak) pedig azoknak a dűlőknek és pillanatoknak a lenyomata, amikor egy évjárat a legtöbbet tudja megmutatni magából.

The 2023 vintage called for patience and careful attention. Perhaps that's exactly what makes it so rewarding to revisit today.
After several drier years, 2023 brought abundant rainfall. In the vineyard, this meant more careful work and a longer ripening period. Warm, sunny weather towards the end of the season allowed the grapes to reach full ripeness while developing remarkable depth of flavour.
From this story came the complete Villa Sandahl 2023 vintage collection.

The same grape variety. The same vintage. Yet three different stories:
- Slow Down (Solid ground) captures the purity of the fruit and the vibrant, energetic character of Riesling.
- Fly Butter Fly (Mid range) takes you deeper, with greater complexity, more structure and a long, elegant finish.
- Soft Feathers (Rare peak) reflects those vineyards and moments when a vintage reveals everything it has to offer.

🕔 Öt év nem sok egy rajnai rizling életében.

✨️ A Cottage Cheese 2021-es Rajnai rizling számára azonban éppen elég volt ahhoz, hogy a lendületből nyugalom legyen.
Az érettebb jegyek lassan kibontakoznak, miközben a gyümölcsök sem veszítik el a ragyogásukat. A méz, a finom petrolosság és a frissesség természetes harmóniában találkoznak. A háttérben pedig ott van Badacsony: bazalt, egy leheletnyi sósság és ásványosság.

🌱 A fürtök szépen fejlődnek, de ezt a hosszan tartó hőséget ők is megérzik. A meleg gyorsítja az érést, és ilyenkor minden csepp víz felértékelődik. A tőkék mélyre nyúló gyökereikkel kitartóan keresik a nedvességet, és egyelőre szépen helytállnak.
💧 Mi pedig nap mint nap figyeljük őket, bízunk bennük, és közben egyre gyakrabban pillantunk az ég felé. Egy kiadós, áztató eső most igazán jókor jönne...nem túl sok, pont annyi, amennyi új lendületet ad a szőlőnek.

🌱 The grape clusters are developing beautifully, but they are feeling the effects of this prolonged heat too. The warm weather speeds up ripening, and at times like these, every drop of water becomes precious. With their deep-reaching roots, the vines keep searching for moisture, and for now, they are holding up remarkably well.
💧 Day by day, we keep a close eye on them and trust in their resilience, while finding ourselves looking up at the sky a little more often. A good, soaking rain would be most welcome right now—not too much, just enough to give the vines the boost they need.

🥂 A bor mindig többről szól, mint ami a pohárba kerül...a szombati Piknikünkön pedig itt, a szőlősorok között ismerhetitek meg azt a tájat és történetet, amely borainkat formálja.

🕰 Benne van a hegy, a talaj, a napsütéses órák száma, a Balaton közelsége, a széljárás, és benne van az a sok munka is, amely egész évben a sorok között zajlik.
✨️ A Badacsony különleges adottságai évtizedek óta kivételes lehetőséget adnak a szőlőnek. A vulkanikus talaj, a tó visszatükröződő fényei és a dűlők egyedi mikroklímája olyan karaktert adnak a bornak, amelyet máshol nehéz megtalálni.
🌿 A rajnai rizling számunkra ennek a tájnak az egyik legszebb tolmácsa. Minden évjárat egy új történet, de a lényeg ugyanaz marad: megmutatni a helyet, ahonnan származik.

🕰 It carries the mountain, the soil, the hours of sunshine, the proximity of Lake Balaton, the prevailing winds, and the countless hours of work that take place among the vines throughout the year.
✨️ For decades, the unique conditions of Badacsony have provided exceptional opportunities for grape growing. The volcanic soils, the reflected light of the lake, and the distinctive microclimate of the vineyards give these wines a character that is difficult to find anywhere else.
🌿 For us, Riesling is one of the finest interpreters of this landscape. Each vintage tells a new story, yet the essence remains the same: to express the place from which it comes.
