"Booking Rolling Reception and driver Ferenc for my transfer from the airport to my accommodation was a great way to start my visit to Budapest!

After the very straightforward booking system, I received clear and specific instructions (including photos of exactly where to go from the moment I set foot out of the airport!)

Ferenc arrived shortly after my call. His English is excellent and we shared a joke or two on the drive into town. He was courteous and incredibly helpful, including helping me with my check-in and explaining where to go for good local food.

I was so impressed I decided to book him to take me to the airport for my flight out. Even though he was unavailable, he offered to and organised another driver to take me out. That's service!

Parliament building:

The Hungarian National Assembly didn't have a permanent seat for so many years finally in the last century a decision was taken for the construction of the Parliament building. An international designers' competition was announced which was won by Imre Steindl. He was professor of gothic architecture at the Budapest Technical University.

Interesting things about the building:

• the Parliament building is a neo-gothic building with eclectic elements
• it's impressing by its sizes
• stood under construction from 1885 to 1904
• as the building was completed it was the largest parliament building on the globe
• it is still the 3rd largest parliament building after the Westminster and the parliament in Buenos Aires
• it has got altogether 671 rooms from which 250 are offices
• the building is 268 m-s long and 118 m-s wide
• the dome is 96 m-s high from the street level
• the building has got altogether 27 entrances, 10 inner yards, 11 elevators
• on the floor is a red carpet which is almost 20 km-s long
• the building is lit by about 10.000 bulbs
• for the interior decorations were used almost 40 kg of 24 carat gold
• the Parliament building is decorated from outside with 88 statues representing Hungarian kings or big personalities from Hungarian history
• above the windows there are 220 coat of arms representing different cities, noble families (the middle coat of arm of Hungary guarded by two angels is containing Dalmatia, Croatia, Slavonia, Transylvania and Fiume, the former attached territories)
