A flamingók és a skarlát ibiszek a kedvencem a Veszprémi állatkertben! A festményszerű tollai, a hangjuk és ez a folyton mozgó madárraj mindig elvarázsol. csak fél óra kocsival és egy fantasztikus kikapcsolódás az egész családnak.

The flamingos and scarlet ibises are my favorites at the Veszprém Zoo! Their picturesque feathers, their sounds and this constantly moving flock of birds always enchant me. only half an hour by car and a fantastic relaxation for the whole family.

Nincs két egyforma napfelkelte Tihanyban. 🌅

Van, amikor a horizont szinte lángol. Más reggeleken finom rózsaszín, barackos és arany árnyalatok jelennek meg az égbolton. Néha pedig vékony felhők teszik még varázslatosabbá a látványt: visszaverik a felkelő nap első sugarait, és egészen különleges színekbe öltöztetik az eget.

Talán éppen ezért érdemes néha lelassítani.

Egy kicsit korábban felébredni.
Kilépni a teraszra – vagy egyszerűen csak az ágy kényelméből végignézni ezt a különleges előadást…

🐐🌊 The Legend of Tihany’s “Goat Hooves”

One of Tihany’s most fascinating legends tells the story of a beautiful herd of goats that once grazed on the hills above Lake Balaton.

According to the legend, the goats belonged to a wealthy shepherd who was immensely proud of his enormous herd. One day, a poor woman asked him for water, but the shepherd refused to help her.

The woman cursed him — and suddenly, a terrible storm swept across Lake Balaton. Huge waves rose from the lake and swallowed the entire herd.

The goats disappeared beneath the water, and according to the legend, only their tiny hooves were left behind.

Even today, these strange little “goat hooves” can be found around Tihany.

But there is a fascinating truth behind the legend. 🐚

The so-called “goat hooves” are actually ancient fossilized shells, millions of years old. They belonged to molluscs that lived here when the Pannonian Sea covered this region.

Their distinctive shape inspired the local name — and over time, a real geological treasure became one of Tihany’s most beloved legends.

So next time you walk along the shores of Tihany, look down carefully…
