This fundraiser is being organised by the Ward family, who have known and loved Made for over 15 years.

Who is Made?

Made is a kind and hardworking transport driver in Bali who has been part of our lives for over 15 years. He is known for his generosity and dedication to his family and community.

What’s happening?

Made was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer. Unfortunately, in Bali, there is very little government or insurance funding available for cancer treatment, meaning that all medical costs must be paid out of pocket. The cost is especially high because the chemotherapy drugs have to be imported to Bali, adding to the expense.

What does he need?

Made urgently needs to undergo four rounds of chemotherapy to fight this disease. Each round costs approximately 3,000 AUD, totalling around 12,000 AUD, an amount that is impossible for him to cover on his own. In order to afford treatment, Made has had to put his car up for sale. As a transport driver, it’s his only car and his only source of income, making this an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking decision.

Why is this urgent?

This treatment is vital for Made and is his best hope for beating cancer and returning to a healthy life.

How can you help?

Your generous donations will go directly towards covering Made’s chemotherapy and related medical expenses. This support will allow him to focus fully on his recovery without the crushing burden of financial stress.
