BALI UPDATE- Good news about Visa on Arrival :
The Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration has officially launched the Electronic Visa on Arrival Service (E-VOA) to facilitate tourists who will go vacation in Bali, Indonesia. Visas can be applied online in the traveller’s home country and can be paid with credit card. This is certainly good news for tourists who previously had to queue for hours and exchange money to get VOA at Ngurah Rai airport in Bali, Indonesia.
Applications for electronic arrival visas and other information can be accessed through https://molina.imigrasi.go.id and for electronic customs can be accessed through https://ecd.beacukai.go.id/

Happy 77th Independence Day 🇮🇩
FREEDOM IS NOT FREE, TODAY WE REMEMBER & HONOR THOSE WHO LEFT US THIS GREAT LEGACY 🙏
Indonesia’s Independence Day is commemorated every year on 17th August.
In 1945, when the Japanese surrendered, Indonesia’s young nationalists took the opportunity and threw off the Dutch colonial rule and proclaimed the independence state of Indonesia. The Proclamation of Indonesia Independence was broadcasted across the archipelago

BALI LIFE: ALL IS ABOUT BALANCE
A holistic balance across all aspects of life is considered an essential component to what makes Bali unique, peaceful, and beautiful. This is because the Balinese community champions the Tri Hita Karana philosophy of life.
Tri Hita Karana is understood as a spiritual concept, form of local wisdom, likewise the philosophy of life underlying the Balinese Hindu community and is supposedly instrumental in shaping the harmony of human life.
The word, “Tri Hita Karana”, is derived from Sanskrit and is a fusion of three different words, namely Tri; meaning three, Hita; meaning happiness or prosperity, and Karana; meaning cause. In essence, the philosophy upholds the understanding that driving forces or “causes” of happiness stem from the harmonious workings of three fundamental relationships: a relationship with God, fellow humans, and with the environment.
Tri Hita Karana consists of 3 parts, namely:
1. Parhyangan (Human Relationship with God) - Parhyangan is the relationship between Man and God, which places emphasis on the importance of one’s subservience to God, the Creator of the Universe, and its contents.
2. Pawongan (Human-Human Relations) Pawongan, while directly translates to human-to-human relationships, refers to the relations that must be manifested all social beings alike, as manifested within one’s own family, friendships with others, and in a plethora of different settings, such as work.
3. Palemahan (Human Relations with Nature) Palemahan is the relationship between humans and the environment/nature. The environment does not solely refer to plants and animals yet extends to the inanimate parts of the natural world that require equal respect and appreciation within our relationships.

8th June 2022 Hari Raya Galungan

The Legend of Galungan
One of the favourite Galungan origin stories has to do with the legendary mighty battle between the forces of good and evil. Fortunately, The good win. It is said that the goddess Durga, the destroyer of evil, weighed in at the end of the battle with a plan to ensure that humanity would always remember the importance of this eternal battle. She ordered then king of Java, Sri Jaya Kasunu, to hold cyclical celebrations to honor these principles. Galungan today actually respects her mandate.
But Durga doesn't stop with ceremonial orders. She also seems to have insisted that a penjor should be erected in every house to signal to distinguished guests – the gods and ancestors – that they would be honored wherever the penjor stood.
This ancient decree became the heart of Galungan and its penjor even today. This is a time when all Balinese remind themselves of the island's deep and ancient roots. They seek to find within themselves the ability to direct balance toward good, or dharma, rather than toward evil, or adharma, thereby demonstrating their commitment to honoring their ancestors and gods.
