Villa Rene is a great place to experience all that Seminyak has to offer, set in a great location ju We have 4 bedrooms at Villa Rene.

Villa Rene is simply a great villa in a lovely quiet location a few minutes from Batu Belig Beach. Seminyak Beach and the many great restaurants in the area, including Mozaic, Naughty Nauris, and Potatohead, are just a short walk away. There are also many great beach-side bars from which to choose and whether you decide on a low-cost rustic surfer’s bar or the more upmarket beach vibe bars – they

are all within a 15 or 20 minute walk of each other along the beach. Echo Beach can also be reached by a great walk along great stretches of beautiful coast line where surf schools, boogie boarding and relaxation are the order of the day. On entering Villa Rene you are greeted by a beautifully kept mature garden which wraps closely around a private blue pool, and a serene bale sitting at the shallow head of the water. The furnishings are relaxing, elegant and stylish with much use of the Italian Vinotti fixtures and fittings. We really have aimed to make Villa Rene feel as much like a comfortable home away from home from the moment you step through the door. There is a lovely double room on the ground floor while on the first floor we have two attractive guest rooms; a really lovely queen-size bedroom with views out to green tree tops, and a comfy small twin bedroom with its own super - size balcony. The sumptuous master bedroom commands the entire 2nd floor. Villa Rene is serviced by a great team and we will make your stay a memorable one.

Change is happening! We are building a larger and permanent balcony for sunbathing & relaxing overlooking the pool, as well as stairs giving direct access. Plan then would be to have outdoor dining downstairs below the balcony as well. Very exciting!

Sadly we have to say goodbye to our longest and oldest pet turtle at the villa. She was a mother of all our pet turtles at all our villas. It's been pleasure and lovely to have you around and going to miss the sight when you sunbathing next to the pond and walk around the pool. May you RIP...

Business as Usual in Bali after Mount Agung Eruption

All flights have returned to normal after Mount Agung erupted on the evening of Friday 24th May. Although volcanic ash affected several villages in the vicinity, there were luckily no casualties reported. A 4km exclusion zone has been declared around the volcano and anyone living in the zone has been advised to leave.

Secluded Bali Villas want to reassure all our guests that it is perfectly safe to travel to the rest of Bali as Mount Agung is located quite a distance away from typical tourist destinations such as Ubud (56km), Seminyak (70km) and Kuta (75km). We would also like to stress that it is imperative that all visitors to the island stay well away from the exclusion zone.

Mount Agung Latest Update - Indonesia has raised Mount Agung's status from Level 3 (Alert) to Level 4 (Awas - Danger) and extended the exclusion zone from 7.5km to 10km from the crater rim. Bali airport was shut at 7am this morning (27th November) as a precaution, and is scheduled to reopen tomorrow at 7am.

Dear Guests,
please be advised that on 21st November there was a small eruption from Mount Agung, and yesterday (25th November) there was a further eruption, this time a little larger.

Mount Agung is located well away from Villa Rene and all the main tourist areas, and at the moment there has been no change in the advice from the Indonesian Government, and the alert level of the National Disaster Management Authority for Indonesia remains unchanged at the second highest level, and below the "Danger" level. The formal travel advice from the Australian government, has been updated, but has not changed at this time (see http://smartraveller.gov.au/bulletins/Pages/Mount-Agung-Volcano.aspx) and advises tourists not to enter the 7.5km exclusion zone around the crater.

Despite this, the Australian carriers Jetstar/Qantas and Virgin cancelled flights departing Bali last night as a safety precaution. So far no other airline has done the same, and all other flights are operating as usual, including somewhat bizarrely Jetstar/Qantas and Virgin flights coming into Bali. If you are on Qantas/Jetstar or Virgin, please check with your carrier directly as to the current status, however given the actual position (see below) we would hope to see their limited restrictions lifted very soon.

The airport is more than 80km from the crater of Mount Agung, and at the moment it is very unlikely that flights would actually be directly affected by the eruption due to the distance away, the relatively small amount of ash that the eruption has caused, and also as the winds currently are blowing towards the North and East, not towards the South and West where the airport lies (see https://www.windfinder.com/#9/-8.7494/115.1614).

For now in order to help, we are offering for any guests that are forced by their airlines action to stay in Bali, a special local price of IDR 3 million (for groups of guests of 8 or more guests) IDR 2 million/night (for groups of 4 or more guests) and IDR 1 million (for groups of less than 4 guests), payable directly to the villa. This rate only applies for existing guests delayed by their airlines.
