Open each page and discover the painted emotions and vibrant expressions of Paul Gauguin (1848–1903) and other artists of the late nineteenth century. Gauguin and His Friends (2022) is the catalogue of an exhibition held at Ordrupgaard in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Featuring works by the French artist Paul Gauguin, Émile Bernard, Paul Sérusier, and others, the book explores the creations of the young painters associated with Pont-Aven school—available in The Sayan House Villa small library.

An ancient libation traced to 6000 BC in the Caucasus and Mesopotamia, red wine has woven itself into cultures across centuries, flourishing into the present day where it is produced by many nations and enjoyed by countless admirers around the world.

Composer and choreographer I Gede Manik (1912–1984) moved with fiery grace within the vibrant tradition of Kebyar Legong, innovating Balinese art through dynamic movement and emotional intensity.

The artist from Jagaraga, Buleleng, devoted his life to crafting music and dance. Among his most monumental works is Kebyar Dangin Enjung or Trunajaya (“The Unbeatable Young Man”) performed in 1950 in Denpasar before distinguished guests, including Indonesia’s first president Soekarno.
