Tangkoko today 5 September 2026🌿
Unfortunately, the fire situation in the Tangkoko forest has changed today, with fire now occurring in the Batuputih tourism area.
Right now, local guides, park staff and other teams, including members of our Birding Cottage team, are out helping to tackle the fire and prevent it from spreading further.
Our biggest concern right now is the forest, its wildlife, and everyone working on the ground. We sincerely hope the fire can be brought under control soon and that further damage to this special place can be prevented.
We also know that many of you are planning to visit Tangkoko in the coming days and weeks. Forest fires can be unpredictable and conditions can change quickly, so please keep in touch with us if you have an upcoming stay. We are following the situation closely and will help you make the best decision for your visit based on the latest conditions.
