Moments from December, just a small window into what we managed to capture.

So many meaningful memories live beyond the camera, shared quietly with people who made this month easier to carry. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

December came with a heavier heart. We said goodbye to a dear friend, a loss that sat with us through the days and nights, reminding us how fragile and precious time really is. The rains were constant, sometimes gentle, sometimes relentless, shaping our days and slowing everything down in ways we didn’t expect.

In between the weight and the weather, there were moments of warmth. Cooking together, sharing simple meals, finding comfort in familiar routines. A short escape to Pacitan gave us fresh air, open roads, and a pause from it all. As the year closed, we gathered around a barbecue on New Year’s Eve, laughter mixing with reflection, gratitude quietly finding its place.

So much of December wasn’t photographed. The conversations, the silence, the support, the healing. Instagram may limit the photos, but it can’t contain what this month meant to us. December was tender, challenging, grounding, and deeply human. 🤍🌧️🔥✨

Moments from November, just a glimpse of what we managed to capture. So many more meaningful memories went unrecorded, shared with the incredible people we were lucky to meet along the way.

November’s been a ride! A mix of chaos and comfort, and definitely one for the books. There were days spent cooking local food together, nights filled with loud laughter and very serious UNO dare games, wandering through night markets. Somewhere in between, there was a spontaneous head shave, a water issue that turned into a sudden move to another place thanks to a landslide, and the kind of unexpected changes that force you to slow down and adapt. Renovations continued, plans shifted, routines broke, and somehow it all still worked out.

Honestly, we wish we could’ve added more, but Instagram caps it at 20 photos. Still, every bit of it made November unforgettable, raw, funny, unpredictable, and quietly beautiful.

Moments from October, just a glimpse of what we managed to capture. So many more meaningful memories went unrecorded, shared with the incredible people we were lucky to meet along the way.

October’s been a ride! A mix of ups and downs, and definitely one for the books. It rained almost every day (especially toward the end of the month), and when it didn’t, it was blazing hot. Somewhere in between, we found ourselves in an unexpected hiking survival situation, a scooter accident (yes, broken collarbones, stitches and all), witnessed a forgery, and one of us even had to deal with mafias abroad (true story). There were art exhibitions, ongoing renovations, etc etc etc, and a lot of laughter that somehow held it all together.

Honestly, we wish we could’ve added more, but Instagram caps it at 20 photos. Still, every bit of it made October unforgettable, messy, chaotic, beautiful.

“The flower blooms without any expectation.”

My journey in Indonesia ended up centering around Borobudur. I hadn’t planned to visit there before coming to Indonesia, but a cancelled course, a visa extension problem, and a series of unplanned delays led me there.

I’m not even sure when I first heard of Borobudur. Was it in Yogyakarta? Was it just the name of a temple? I found my answer upon arriving: Borobudur is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist Temple in Magelang, Central Java.

With no plans other than to see the temple, I chose to simply experience local life.

And in doing so, I stumbled upon an amazing art exhibition. I witnessed the most beautiful sunrise after a rainy night. I met local people who were always kind to me. A cat followed me around. I made new friends who brought laughter every day, and I loved walking through the villages.

None of these wonderful things would have happened if my original schedule had gone to plan.
