From a distance, this bird looks like just another boring brown bird. But if you look closer, you will see that this is not the usual sparrow, it has intricate "scales" on its chest.

This is Scaly-breasted Munia or Burung Emprit Peking. It’s a common bird in West Java. This bird feeds on wide variety of grass seeds and grains, and is often spotted near fields of wild grasses.

This is one of the many birds you will see or hear when walking around the farm.
