Our Story

The story goes that, originally, our location was around 10 traditional Balinese bungalows. Owned by the famous Balinese family Kompyang Suwirya this property called Puri Tanjung Sari, in English “beautiful Palace” gave its name to our current ballroom.

In 1993, the splendid Bali Imperial Hotel saw the light. The art Deco styling of the impressive lobby and main building was inspired by the renowned architect and designer Frank Wright’s design for Tokyo’s Imperial Hotel. Balinese arts and culture are celebrated throughout the resort. Balinese stone carvings plus elegant local art and handicrafts accentuate over 4.5 hectares of verdant tropical gardens, designed by renowned landscape architect, Bill Bensley.

In 2003, AccorHotels group started to manage this resort under the flag of Sofitel Seminyak and in 2010 it was rebranded as MGallery, a unique Memorable Hotels collection by AccorHotels.

MGallery-The Royal Beach Seminyak Bali is dedicated for luxury upscale travelers which located directly on the magnificent Seminyak Beach. Featuring 125 rooms and 17 secluded villas with private swimming pool or whirlpool bath, the resort offers outstanding tropical garden view and stunning sunset. Along with two remarkable pools, one right on the beach and another tucked into the garden area dedicated for adult only. It is in walking distance to Seminyak Village, the home to some of the trendiest bars, restaurants and shops in Bali that allows guests to easily explore the area.
