Amed Beach in Bali is most likely already in your Bali travel itinerary if you're a keen diver. The island’s eastern shoreline boasts an underwater playground, and Amed Beach is among the favourite between two main sites (the other being Tulamben, 25km to the north). Amed Beach in Bali was once best known for its traditional salt farming. Soon after its beautiful underwater trove was unveiled, with an historical shipwreck adding to its natural features, Amed Beach became a favourite among divers, particularly Jemeluk Bay.

Originally a project initiated by the son of Indonesia’s second president, Tommy Suharto, the construction of the Taman Rekreasi Bedugul Hotel was inexplicably halted after the terrorists’ bomb attacks in 2002.

For the past 12 years, the half-completed hotel has been slowly rotting away. And even now, no one can say for sure why it is so.
In fact, Taman Rekreasi Bedugul was almost ready for its opening day – toilets had been installed, and it’s even furnished with beds and an elegant reception area.One thing’s for sure: if the hotel has ever seen a single customer, it’s definitely not a living one.

After all, it has even been dubbed as the ‘Ghost Palace Hotel’.Some daredevils have managed to explore the crumbling buildings by sneaking bribes to the caretakers of the place. No one knows what they have seen or heard though.

What secrets does it hold?

One of the most interesting attrgoa-gala2action in Lembongan island is the underground house. This unique house is called Gala-Gala underground house it was built in 1961 and finished in 1976 it took 15 years to finish building the underground house. It is constructed under a 4 hectare land. The house was built by a farmer called Made Byasa who was also a preist and a Dalang (shadow puppet performer). Made Byasa was inspired by a Hindu epic to build this house, it was the Mahabrata from “Wana Parwa” episode.
