We have eaten out quite a bit (okay, a lot) over the past two years, mostly due to a pandemic that will remain nameless. One of our favorite discoveries was the Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, Barbarossa, located on Jl. Danau Poso in Sanur. The restaurant’s ingredients are primarily locally sourced, the flavors are superb and the freshly-baked breads are addictive. Our favorites include the pan-seared duck breast (Magret de Canard), Eggplant Parmigiana, and the Beef Brisket. The gourmet pizzas are delicious (try the Capricciosa), the assorted charcuterie platter is amazing and the beetroot salad with whipped feta, shaved pear and candied walnuts is a must try. Don’t forget to save some room for the Spanish vanilla custard (Natilla De Vainilla). Enjoy!
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Barbarossa blends Mediterranean flavours with a touch of local charm. We source locally made ingredients, fresh from the Balinese soil.
