First child who born in Balineae family get tittle Wayan. Wayan took from old Balinese language "Wayahan" mean oldest or more mature. The synonym of Wayan are Putu, Gede and Kompiang.

One of unique thing that you only find in Bali is every name of Balinese people starting with Wayan/Putu/Gede, Made/Kadek, Nyoman/Komang, and Ketut.

For example : Wayan Subagia, Made Bagus, Komang Sri, Ketut Elin.

First part is not a name. First part show what number they was born. And second one is a name.

Wayan Subagia
Wayan = first child, Subagia = name

Made Bagus
Made = second child, Bagus = name

Komang Sri
Komang = third child, Sri = name

Ketut Elin
Ketut = fourth child, Elin = name

Its about 2 hundreds meter from Candi Dasa Area to the North. Perang Pandan come from the words “Perang” means Fighting, Pandan is one kind of plant which leafs full of torns. . Perang Pandan means fighting using Pandan leaf as a weapon. This event will be taken place on July 23rd till 24th, 2022
