Ubud hosts the Annual Readers and Writers Festival and regular music festivals. The Blue Cat Villa has been designed by an International architect and built with quality materials. The furnishings reflect both Balinese and Western cultures. There are 3 enormous bedrooms and 3 marble lined bathrooms (2 of them are ensuites). Black granite has been used as a feature of the vanities and it also edges the marble floor in the huge downstairs living space. The white walls are a contrast with the grey granite kitchen bench tops, which provide a spacious food preparation area. There are 16 handcrafted kitchen cupboards and a large fridge/freezer. Each bedroom contains a stunning hand-carved 4-poster bed, veiled in ice white mosquito nets. There are a total of 6 sofas positioned strategically throughout the villa to provide comfort, relaxation and social interaction. A large flat screen TV and DVD is positioned between 2 sofas in the media room. Hand crafted sliding doors provide a gracious entrance at the front and 4 metres of hand carved folding doors open up the living space at the back to provide a scenic vista of the pool, garden and rice paddies. Opening both sets of doors allows the presence of a cool cross breeze from the paddies. The large infinity pool and bale on the edge of the paddies, invites relaxation and privacy.
