Restaurant KAGEMUSHA
Where we love to eat.

Twenty minutes into Ubud center, down a narrow alley that feels like a secret—there's a backyard verandah where aged wooden furniture and a naturally lush garden remind you why you came to Bali. Run by a Japanese family and a team who remember your name every time you return.✨️

Home-cooked Japanese cuisine. Generous lunch sets from 10am-3pm. Chicken teriyaki that tastes like someone cares about every plate. Natto. Shiro kombu. Fried calamari with sambal matah. Nothing pretentious. Everything honest.🍙

If you're staying at The Tritis and venture into Ubud center, this is where we send our guests. This is where we go.🥗

Book both rooms at The Tritis for your family or close friends. This is where the real magic happens—not just a place to stay, but a moment to slow down together.

Get to know the host, who becomes less like a host and more like family by the end of your stay. They share their neighborhood & their stories. You share yours. By the time you leave, Ubud has a new extended family—rooted in a homestay where genuine connection matters more than transactions.

This is what we're building here.

Saturday afternoon light.

A wall. Two Balinese ornaments. The shadow of a frangipani tree filling the space between them—geometric, gentle, constantly changing as the sun moves.

These are the moments that matter at The Tritis. Not grand gestures, but the afternoon sun casting something beautiful on a plain wall. A reminder that peace isn't about perfection. It's about noticing.

This is what slowing down looks like—noticing the moments that are always there, waiting to be seen.

Words like these matter more than reviews. Somthing that we truly cherish🥹

A handwritten note from Nicola after her stay at The Tritis. Not a five-star rating or a polished testimonial—just genuine gratitude on paper, left behind because the experience moved her to write. 🙏🏽😊

We're grateful for Nicola's time in Sumampan, her presence in our space, and for taking the time to leave these words. This is the real measure of familiar comfort.✨️✨️

We believe in spaces that make you smile without trying. Details that aren't necessary but feel right. A happy pig watching over the garden is exactly the kind of small comfort that builds familiar warmth.

Work happens best in spaces like this.

Natural light filling the room. Peaceful surroundings. A desk that faces something worth looking at. No distractions—just the kind of environment where focus actually comes naturally.

At The Tritis, we've designed rooms that work as hard as you do. Whether you're building something great, or thinking through problems that need quiet space—your room is set up for it.

Digital nomads and remote workers choose us because the view out the window changes how work feels. You're not in a hotel room grinding away. You're in Sumampan, with nature beyond the glass and a desk that actually invites you to sit down.

Yours to use, not to keep.

We provide a tote bag in every room at The Tritis—a woven market bag inspired by the ones locals carry for daily shopping in Bali.

Walk to nearby warungs for snacks. Visit morning markets for fresh fruit. Carry your water bottle and camera to rice fields. The bag goes where you go during your stay.

Small provisions like this make village life easier to navigate. You shouldn't need to pack everything—some things should just be waiting.

After checkout, it stays for the next guest. Shared tools, familiar comfort.

Sunset walk from The Tritis.

Wherever you go in Sumampan, Mount Agung watches—steady, present, guardian of the valley.

Walk toward the rice fields just before dusk. Sit. Close your eyes. Hear the kokokan birds fly gracefully across the purple sky, returning home to Petulu after a long day in the fields. Feel the shift as daylight sounds fade—chirps of birds becoming chirps of crickets, the village settling into its nocturnal rhythm.

This is Sumampan at the edge of evening. Peaceful. Grounding. Aware.
