🐸 The Frog Nursery — Update #3

THE HATCHING HAS BEGUN! 🐸

After days of watching over this tiny foam nest, the first tadpole has finally emerged.

As the protective nest slowly dissolved, a tiny new life began its journey straight into the water below.

Sometimes, nature rewards those who simply wait, watch, and protect.

💚 Our little frog nursery has become one of the most magical wildlife moments we’ve ever witnessed at DW Jungle Resort.

Magic in the small details. 🌿🐸

The Frog Nursery — Update #2.

Yesterday, two tree frogs built this remarkable foam nest beside the water. Today, its surface had turned golden — and when we looked closer, we discovered a tiny freshwater snail exploring it. 🐌✨

💚 Our fountain remains switched off while nature takes its course and our tiny new residents develop in peace.

Sometimes, all you need to do is sit quietly on the veranda, listen, and let nature reveal the next chapter.

Magic in the small details. 🌿🐸

Our stone fountains aren’t just decorative—they’re thriving little ecosystems.

Early this morning, we spotted two tree frogs creating a protective foam nest for their eggs beside the water. Watching nature quietly unfold like this is one of the many joys of life at DW Jungle Resort.

💚 We’ve asked all our staff to switch this fountain off for now, so our tiny new residents can hatch in peace.

Sometimes, all you need to do is sit quietly on the veranda, listen, and let nature reveal itself.

Balinese tree surgery is on another level… 😳🌴

We had to bring down this dead palm because, in high winds, protecting people is just as important as protecting nature. We are all part of the same ecosystem. 🌴💚

The bottom half of this giant golden pothos will continue to thrive on the remaining trunk, while the top section will naturally produce new roots where it now rests on the forest floor of our 7,500m² nature preserve. 🌿

Safety for our guests. Respect for the jungle. ✨

Thank you, Indonesia Travel, for inspiring us to look back at one of our favourite journeys through Indonesia. 🇮🇩

We arrived in Labuan Bajo expecting extraordinary landscapes and incredible wildlife. We left with something even more valuable: new friendships, unforgettable conversations and an even deeper appreciation for this beautiful country we now call home.

From sunrise hikes and turquoise waters to Komodo dragons, spectacular sunsets and meals shared with people who started as strangers and left as lifelong friends, every moment reminded us why Indonesia is so special.

Terima kasih, Indonesia, for memories we’ll treasure forever. ♥️ 🇮🇩
