Oak House stands as a testament to the idea that nothing truly goes to waste if seen through the right eyes. Born from a collection of discarded oak timber found across Bali, this cabin breathes new life into materials that were once forgotten. In a close collaboration with the visionaries , we turned these reclaimed pieces into a sanctuary that honors the earth. By giving master architect the creative freedom to explore, the structure has become more than just a building; it is a living example of how luxury and environmental consciousness can coexist without compromise.

The interior of the cabin is a breathtaking dialogue between raw nature and refined Balinese artistry. Intricate traditional carvings meet the timeless storytelling of Kamasan paintings from Klungkung, creating a visual harmony that feels both ancient and contemporary.

Yet, beneath this beauty lies a firm commitment to our core philosophy: we don't break the land to build upon it. Oak House is designed to leave a minimal footprint, ensuring that if the structure were ever to disappear, the earth beneath it would remain exactly as nature intended, untouched and whole.

Folky House at Bird Hills is a real tribute to the way old-school Balinese people used to live. Working together with we wanted to bring back those classic Bali vibes and show that our ancestors were actually way ahead of their time when it comes to sustainability.

Back then, they didn't need fancy materials, they just used whatever nature provided around them, whether they were building a family home or preparing for a sacred ceremony.
This project is all about keeping that spirit alive by using reclaimed wood and upcycled materials.

For and the team at Bird Hills, using 90% recycled stuff isn't just a choice—it’s the right way to build. We believe that by looking back at how our ancestors respected the earth, we are actually creating a much smarter and more visionary path for the future 🍃

Through Melaspas, this space is given soul, balance, and harmony. What was once reclaimed wood, shaped and rebuilt with intention, every corner carries a story.
Through this sacred ritual, the unseen is cleansed, and positive energy is invited to flow within. It marks not just the completion of a structure, but the beginning of a new life inside its a space to rest, to connect, and to create memories.

The Ant House didn't begin in the forest. It began over a cup of coffee in the heart of Denpasar. I was sitting with , whose mind refuses to settle for the ordinary. We were simply sharing a conversation, two minds wandering through the "what ifs" of design.

Our eyes were drawn to a nearby mango tree, where a colony of weaver ants (Semut Rangrang) was at work. We watched as they gripped the edges of the leaves, pulling them together with incredible strength to form a perfect, egg-shaped cradle for their eggs. It was a marvel of biological engineering, a home woven from living green, held together by instinct and unity.

We became obsessed with the habitat of these tiny creatures. How could something so small create a structure so resilient, so protective, and so perfectly integrated with its environment?

While most would see a simple nest, saw a mission. His "wild thinking" immediately took flight, but he added a defiant constraint: this masterpiece must be born from the past. didn't just want to mimic the shape, he wanted to mimic the ants' efficiency by using what was already there. He realized this vision at .id by utilizing over 90% upcycled materials. He took forgotten elements, reclaimed wood, salvaged textures, and discarded history and breathed new life into them. It wasn't just construction, it was a resurrection of materials, woven together much like the ants weave their leaves.

The Ant House stands as a reminder that a genius mind can find the blueprint for a masterpiece in the smallest, wildest corners of life ❤️

Most people come here for the view. The lucky ones stay long enough to hear the birds sing 🕊️
