Tenganan is one of Bali's oldest Bali Aga villages in Karangasem, walled and laid out in a strict, orderly plan, just ten minutes from Lotus Bungalows.

Once a year, leading up to the Perang Pandan ritual, the village hosts the Daha Mayunan, a tradition where young, unmarried women are seated on a windmill-shaped wooden swing. As the young men of the village manually turn the frame, the women are elevated in a captivating display of local heritage.

Macro life here rewards patience over depth.

A pygmy seahorse the size of a fingernail clings to a Muricella gorgonian, a nudibranch moves across the reef slowly, and the crabs, tiny, easy to miss, tucked into crevices most cameras never find.

Nobody tells you how long you'll spend staring at a single square foot of coral until you dive Candidasa.

A great dive trip isn’t just about the site, it’s also about how you get there.

Our boat is equipped with 4-stroke engines, delivering a ride that’s both powerful and smooth, so you can reach dive sites around East Bali in comfort.

It’s a quieter kind of performance, too.
With lower emissions and reduced risk of oil spills, it reflects a more considered approach to the ocean we explore.
