er a decade, and has enjoyed some truly amazing experiences, working in some incredible places alongside some truly great people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds, have had a huge amount of fun and seen things that others only dream of! During her career she has worked as an Instructor for several busy dive shops in The Caribbean, Thailand, Malaysia, The Philippines, Australia and Indonesia. Experiencing working in different diving roles including positions on liveaboard expeditions in the Coral Sea, within dive resorts and have also managed a variety of PADI dive shops, ranging from the small islands of Malaysia to the concrete jungle of Sydney’s Bondi Beach. Holly has enjoyed fantastic diving over her career and worked with some incredibly inspiring people. She is now a Platinum PADI Course Director and lives and works on Gili Trawangan in Lombok running monthly IDC programs at Blue Marlin Dive as well as the full range of professional level continuing education programs. IDC Candidates choosing to complete their Instructor training with Holly will benefit directly from her real-world diving industry experience. She has over a decade of experience as a PADI Instructor in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, The Philippines and The Caribbean. Her background means that she has experienced many of the situations an Instructor can expect to meet. She will show you how to apply what you learn and how to successfully handle the challenges instructors face every day. dive centers seek instructors who know how to balance the needs of guests, colleagues and management, and who can deliver high-quality courses, sell and promote diving. Holly will help you to develop and apply the skills that make you more attractive to employers. After the IDC you will also be able to gain immediate teaching experience, by shadowing one or more of the dive center staff teaching a PADI course. Candidates on the PADI IDC Gili Trawangan delivering their Individual Open Water Presentation.

Basically they will role play the part of the Instructor whereby each candidate will deliver a topic from the PADI Open Water Diver Course, whilst the others play the role of students.

This will be practiced and perfected through the week ahead.

During the PADI IDC Gili Trawangan Scuba Diving Instructor Program candidates will learn how to teach the PADI Rescue Diver Course.

During the Rescue Diver Workshops candidates will learn how to deliver the required curriculum and will gain valuable tried and tested techniques from Industry Award Winning 14 x Platinum PADI Course Director having taught the very programs for over the past 23 years.

By the end of their Instructor training, these guys will have the knowledge, skills and confidence to start a rewarding and successful career teaching others the full range of PADI Course Ms and Programs.

Inividual Open Water Presentations on the June IDC Scuba Diving Instructor Course with Industry Award Winning 14 x Platinum Course Director .

Working within small groups each candidate will be evaluated by Industry Award Winning 14 x Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod and will be provided some valuable feedback on how improvements can be made.

The feedback is generally based around previous experience of over 23 years teaching these very programs and real-life experience-based techniques to overcome situational and circumstantial problems and thus delivering the required training in a quick, fun and easy to understand way. Having also issued approximately 4000 PADI Instructor certifications Holly is the perfect person to consult when making the transition into a new career knowing exactly what is expected from new instructors and of course what new scuba diving instructors should expect from the diving industry

Knowledge Development sessions on the Scuba Diving Instructor Development Course ( ) and candidates are learning to structure prescriptive teaching sessions for future entry level diving students.

During these sessions Course Director will reflect on 2 decades of personal experience teaching the full range of PADI programs and courses and will assist candidates in developing the way in which they deliver the curriculum to others using a range of tried and tested techniques to easily deliver the required syllabus in a fun and easy to understand way.
