Dear valued customers,

As you will be aware there was a severe 7.0 scale earthquake on the 5th of August centred in North Lombok. As such Gili Trawangan has experienced wide spread damage and is currently in a state of emergency. As you can imagine this has been an extremely sad experience for all the people of Gili Trawangan with many people losing their homes and their lives. Fortunately Hakuna Matata has only experienced a small amount of damage, but due to the seriousness of the situation and the potential for after shocks, all the staff have moved to more stable areas of Indonesia. Unfortunately we have had to close the homestay at this stage for the unforeseeable future. Please know, your bookings will not be charged and you will not receive any cancellation fees.

Thank you for your understanding during this very sensitive time and I know you will find your paradise in the other beautiful islands of Indonesia.

We hope to see you again sometime in the future.
