At Murex Resorts, we’re committed to opening doors for the the next generation of tourism professionals.

Through our partnership with Child Aid Papua Foundation, we run a dedicated internship program which provides practical training and work experience for young people who are interested in following a career in tourism.

Young people like Rico Mambrasar, from Raja Ampat in Papua, who is currently working in our housekeeping team and learning what it takes to provide excellent service in a premier dive resort.

In this video, Rico shares his thoughts on the experience so far, and offers some advice for the next interns who will follow in his footsteps.

A big thank you to Deep Six Diver's Service Inc., for choosing Murex Resorts as your travel partner for diving in North Sulawesi!

This group of intrepid divers from Florida in the USA embarked on our Passport to Paradise program.

From spectacular wall dives in Bunaken to the soft corals and tropical beaches of Bangka, the group discovered the incredible diversity of diving this region has to offer.

One of the more creepy looking sea slugs around! Morgan spotted this little guy while looking for the famous Ghost Nudi around Bangka Island. The Phyllodesmium Colemani is a striking species of nudibranch, or sea slug, found in warm Indo-Pacific waters. Unlike many brightly colored nudibranchs that warn predators with vivid patterns, this species often has a soft blue, gray, or translucent appearance that helps it blend into coral reefs and soft corals. One of its most fascinating traits is its ability to steal tiny stinging cells from the corals it eats and store them in its own body for defense. It also contains symbiotic algae within its tissues, allowing it to gain extra energy from sunlight in a process somewhat similar to photosynthesis. With its leaf-like body extensions and delicate appearance, Phyllodesmium briareum is considered one of the more unusual and beautiful sea slugs in the ocean ecosystem.

His favorite dive site in Bangka?
