Tripadvisor 2022, reaction of visitors :
Relaxing guest house by the sea
We went to this place without any reservation. We had planned to reach Ruteng, after starting from Moni in the morning. It was a long drive and on hindsight, a bit ambitious. The long stop foo diesel at Ende did not help.
We were lucky that rooms were empty.
Jeanette, the Dutch lady who runs the place welcomed us warmly.
There are 2 rooms with a verandah to sit out. The rooms are basic - fans, buckets to bathe; I enjoy the basics and liked it.
We chose the room that was on sea-side.
Hot water in flask with coffee and tea is kept in the verandah.
The beach is a very short walk away. The view of Mount Inerie is lovely.
The property has a farm/garden where aloe-vera, herbs and vegetables are grown.
The property has a very authentic village feel. In fact, a fisherwoman came selling fresh fish a little after we arrived.
The next morning we were served breakfast.
Jeanette showed us around the farm and work she does for the village children.
A place to relax, wind-down, rest, read the book you always wanted to sitting in the verandah, sipping coffee listening to rhythmic sound of the sea.
