Located off the grid amid nature 8 km away from the beach, we invite you to come out of your comfort zone to unplug and return to your roots. Come and reset your internal clock and tune yourself into natures rhythm while enjoying the peaceful quiet atmosphere of Rote Island. We believe that sometimes the best way to recharge our batteries is to unplug them. Therefore, we choose to have minimal Ele

ctricity, no AC or Fans, nor hot water to return to the essential way of life. We encourage you to leave behind the internet and connect on a deeper level with yourself, the people and your surroundings. Our goal is to run as a sustainable and self-sufficient lodge with as low an impact on the environment as possible to retain the pristine beauty of this island. In Utopia being green is more than just a way of buying or consuming “Eco” - it's an unshakable commitment to a sustainable lifestyle. Therefore, we have constructed indigenous natural buildings with compost toilets, planted our vegetable gardens and fruit trees, using well water and solar power.
