Thank you very much for your thoughts and concerns for Lemon House, its staff and their families, and all the people of Padang Bai and Bali. For those of you who may not have heard, Bali's Mt. Agung has awakened and is threatening eruption, evacuating thousands and thousands of people from their homes and causing hundreds of tremors a day. Padang Bai is safely outside of the volcano evacuation area, but local people feel fear of tsunami (which devastated northern Indonesia some years ago), of the possibility of stronger earthquakes harming their homes or families, and of potential loss of livelihood if the wait is long and tourism is effected. Padang Bai is hosting hundreds of displaced people in camps and shelters, who have much greater concerns, and who do not know how long it will be before it's safe to return home. Thank you very much for your thoughts, concerns, prayers, good wishes, and positive energy.
More than 100,000 people have fled their homes as they wait for Bali's Mount Agung to erupt.
