Bali Surf Report
Uluwatu
27-04-2026

The waves were really fun this morning at Uluwatu, offering the surfers mostly head-high lines with a few noticeably larger set waves rolling through the lineup. The ocean conditions were very clean today, beautifully groomed by a light offshore wind that kept the faces crisp and completely open.

Uluwatu is currently in the early stages of the dry season, which means steady offshores every single day at Uluwatu and predictably great weather. Plus, the consistent swells are beginning to roll in. This is a genuinely great time of year for improving your surfing. The waves are just the right size for working on reading the wave, significantly improving your turns, and maybe even getting a few fun tubes!

Uluwatu

Surf heights at Uluwatu have backed off quite a bit since yesterday. It was a slower morning out there, with the bulk of the waves sitting in the head-high range and just a few larger sets breaking the lull. There was a slight bump to the lineup, but a light offshore wind did its job to keep the faces nicely groomed.

When the sets did show up, they were lining up well. A few waves offered some proper tubes, and instructor Jerry managed to find his way into a couple of good ones. The rest of the crew had plenty to work with too, picking off some long, down-the-line walls that opened up perfectly for a few solid turn sections. Overall, just a really fun day in the water.

Fun morning at Uluwatu in the surfing paradise of Bali! The waves were shoulder-high range with occasional bigger sets rolling through. The session started beautifully clean with light offshore winds and fast, lined-up lefts. Andrea and Jerry surfed near the peak, finding smooth, tapered lefts perfect for cruising. Meanwhile, Randy and Nour positioned themselves right at the Racetraack in search of those long, winding rides with multiple turn and barrel sections that the wave is famous for.

Everyone snagged great waves and enjoyed the stellar lineup conditions. However, quick timing was absolutely essential today. The tide was moving fast, making it crucial to time your paddle-out perfectly before too much water flooded the shallow reef.

Uluwatu is a fast barrel and generally quite difficult. Local Uluwatu legend Tumbling shows how to do it.

Putting in the reps. Logging water time, carving the surf-skate park back at the surf camp, and trading stories with a good crew after a long day. This is what progression looks like. See you in the lineup. 🇮🇩🌊

Dawn patrol at Geger Left delivered the goods. Leaving camp early, we were greeted by a brilliant sunrise, calm seas, and a light offshore breeze. Consistent head-high sets rolled through, and we posted up on the inside peak to snag the easiest waves. The water vibes were incredible, everyone trading rides and sharing the stoke.

We are currently enjoying Bali's transition season. Shifting winds spread surfers evenly across the island, meaning spots like Geger Left stay pleasantly uncrowded. It is the perfect window to explore our diverse coastlines, embrace the tropical warmth, and score peaceful lineups.

What a morning at Geger Left! The ocean delivered beautifully lined-up lefts offering long, fast walls perfect for performance surfing—we’re talking high-speed top turns, deep bottom turns, and solid cracks off the lip. While the lefts were the main event, regular footers managed to snag some fun rights in the mix.

Despite a touch of side-shore wind, the waves held their shape impressively with clean faces throughout the session. The lineup vibe was completely relaxed, with everyone trading waves and soaking up the conditions. Just a classic, fun session for everyone involved.

As Bali shifts into the wet season, we move from the Bukit to the east coast. Blackstone in Nusa Dua lights up this time of year — a consistent peaky wave with playful sections and warm water lineups.

Good waves, mellow crowds, and plenty of time between surfs to enjoy the slower side of island life.

Bingin is a perfectly shaped wave machine and one of the most fun barrels in the world — if you can’t get barrelled at Bingin, you can’t get barrelled anywhere. Despite the demolition of the cliffside warungs, restaurants, and hotels, the wave remains as perfect as ever.

Toro-Toro turned on this morning with clean, head-high sets and long rides. The first section of the wave moved quickly before easing into long, playful walls, much to everyone's delight. Sets came through steadily, keeping the lineup moving and the mood relaxed.

The wave held its shape as the tide dropped, offering smooth, flowing rides that wrapped down the reef. With clear skies and a calm breeze, it was an ideal morning to enjoy Toro-Toro’s long rides and the unique setting of surfing as planes passed overhead.
