Dear Bali lovers,

We’ve received some messages, concerns and questions about the option to cancel Bali holidays after the recent storm passing over Bali on September 9-10.

Yes—it rained hard, yes there was flooding in some areas, and yes a storm always looks dramatic on the news.

But the reality? The majority of Bali is absolutely fine and still welcoming families every day. The main area being flooded were in the Denpasar area, and damages were mainly to buildings built close to rivers.

If you are visiting soon, don’t cancel your trip. Instead, consider packing a little extra kindness—if you’ve got space in your luggage or room in your budget, bring some clothes, toiletries, or basic supplies to donate.
