MOUNT AGUNG IS CLOSED FOR CLIMBING 🚨
Planning to hike Mount Agung soon?

Climbing activities on Mount Agung, Bali’s highest and most sacred volcano, will be temporarily closed from March 28 to April 24, 2026.

The closure affects all hiking routes and is part of preparations for important religious ceremonies — Tawur Tabuh Gentuh and Karya Ida Bhatara Turun Kabeh — held at Pura Agung Besakih.

🙏 The decision aims to:
• Maintain the sacredness of the area
• Ensure safety and respect during ceremonies
• Allow the rituals to take place without disturbance

Tourists and hiking guides are strongly advised to respect the closure and plan their trips accordingly.

📌 If you’re visiting Bali during this time, make sure to check updates before planning any hikes.
