A beautiful villa in the North of Bali, far away from the tourist hustle in the The villa itself is on two levels.

Villa Tunjung is tucked away on a hillside in the village of Rangdu, in the heart of North Bali. Cool breezes roll down from the (dormant) volcanoes, providing a markedly more pleasant climate than the more humid coasts. An underground river that flows cold, clear water down from the cooler highlands provides potable water, straight out of the tap. The spacious, shaded terrace, overlooking the tro

pical garden and swimming pool, is the ideal place to retreat from the midday sun. There is also a Bale Begong – a traditional gazebo, next to the swimming pool, where you can drink, or dine or just recline and take a nap, lulled into a state of calm by the palm fronds rustling in the breeze overhead and the ornamental waterfall babbling gently into the pond. The swimming pool is 60m2 and has a small kiddie pool and outside shower. On the entrance level is a lounge with satellite television and large LCD TV and a kitchen with sink, gas hob, fridge and microwave. The lounge has French doors that open onto a broad, shaded veranda (50 m2). Leading off the veranda is the master bedroom with double bed and a spacious, open-air, en-suite bathroom with toilet, shower, bath and wash hand basin. The souterrain houses the second large bedroom with large French windows opening onto the garden. It also has a double bed (Queen-size), en-suite bathroom with shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Inset in the outside wall is a small bench next to the entrance to the third bedroom. This bedroom has bunk beds and a wash hand basin. next to this room is a third separate bathroom with shower and toilet. A utilityroom with washingmachine is underneath the bale begong. All bedrooms have remote-controlled air-conditioning.

I can’t say enough good things about Villa Tunjung. We booked a last-minute 4-night getaway, and every moment—from check-in to check-out—was magical.
The villa is beautifully maintained, and thanks to the west-facing terrace, you’re treated to a view of the sunset every evening during dinner. The garden and pool are exactly what you’d imagine a tropical paradise to be, and our kids loved the little splash pool off to the side.
The staff was the absolute highlight; Agus, Juni, and Gede went above and beyond time and time again to make our stay comfortable, authentic, and stress-free. Gede, our driver, even carried our 1-year-old for us during a walk to Munduk Falls—what a legend!

We truly appreciate all your efforts to take care of us and can’t wait to visit you again soon.

If you’re in northern Bali, this is the place to stay!

Kort voorafgaand aan ons verblijf hoorden wij dat de vader van host Agus overleden was. Daarom namen Rio en zijn vrouw Merte de zorg voor ons en het huis op zich. De liefdevolle verzorging van deze mensen is amper te beschrijven. Rio en Merte zijn de allerliefste mensen. Er werd heerlijk gekookt en zij hebben ervoor gezorgd dat het ons aan niets ontbrak. Hun vriendelijkheid, rust en prettige energie zijn onvergetelijk. We hebben ze in ons hart gesloten. Dankbaar voor deze lieve mensen en bijzondere plek.

We’ve just returned from 10 days in Villa Tunjung in North Bali!
This was our second visit and it was even better than the first!
We needed a relaxing chilled holiday after a disastrous 2025 and this trip was just effortless!
The staff as always, are amazing, nothing is too much. From Koming making sure the garden and pool is perfect early every morning, to Marta and her delicious breakfasts, Agus ensuring we had everything we need and the brilliant Gede with his expert level local knowledge and amazing driving skills! Everyone made the holiday exactly what we needed it to be!
Set in a beautiful tranquil area in the hills, set apart from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It’s exceptionally quiet and surrounded by nature. Lizards, geckos, butterflies and the cutest birds taking a morning bath on the poolside, paradise with an amazing view!
This is now my happy place and we’ll be back for more next year!
We count the staff as friends now and cannot wait to come back!

Fantastisch villa in Bali, vriendelijke mensen die heerlijke lokale gerechten bereiden, meedenken met uitjes, uitjes kunnen regelen, gezellig een praatje komen maken maar ook zeker je privacy respecteren. Met Gede mooie trips gemaakt en na een van de uitjes kwam hij zelfs nog een verse kokosnoot uit zijn eigen tuin brengen. De villa was prachtig, van alle gemakken voorzien en super schoon. Vooral de tuin met alle mooie planten en het mooie grote zwembad waren een ware eyecatcher. We hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf en raden deze villa zeker aan!

Agus and June were amazing hosts and cooks. They arranged our travel in and out with ease. The grounds and pool were well kept and manicured beautifully. It was a peaceful location away from the hustle of city life. Local mart within walking distance for some basics and Agus would gladly arrange trips elsewhere. Would definitely go back.

From beginning to end, our stay was phenomenal. The driver who picked us up was wonderful and drove very safely, stopping along the way so we could enjoy some sightseeing on the way to the villa. We were greeted by the rest of the amazing staff, our luggage was carried in and we had drinks waiting. The welcome meal was delicious and presented so beautifully. The entire week, every need was met, the house was kept clean, the garden and pool maintained daily. This was the most relaxing vacation we have ever been on and we are hoping to be able to return. Amazing home, fabulous staff and I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Bali!!!!!

Lyndall enjoyed a relaxing couple of days earlier this month in Villa Tunjung with her family.

Our stay in Villa Tunjung was beautiful and peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas.
Agus went out of his way to ensure that we had a comfortable stay and felt like we were at home. Every request was met, even finding us delicious mango for breakfast although mango was out of season.
Merte was so kind and gentle and made the most delicious food.
we loved watching the giant resident geckos in the evenings and the beautiful sunsets at dinner.
Gede was our driver and is an absolute legend. He always greeted us with a big smile and we will not forget his infectious laugh.
Agus made great recommendations on what to explore in the local area. Be sure to book the rice fields tour Mayong Cultural-walk and meet Putu and his lovely wife Ria as they welcome you in their home and cook a delicious lunch.
We traveled to Bali with our two sons aged 9 and 11 for our first family overseas holiday and it has been a true blessing and unforgettable experience.
