This is our priest, guiding us into the sacred stillness of Nyepi. A moment where Bali turns inward—into silence, reflection, and quiet blessings.

At Nadi, we choose to close during this time. Not just as a practice, but as a respect. For our team to return home, be with their families, and honour the spirit of this day as it’s meant to be.

In this stillness, even the land feels different. Softer. Deeper. Alive in a quieter way.

And perhaps that’s the true gift of Nyepi—
to remember that rest is sacred too.

Some journeys grow quietly, like a garden over time.

Three months ago, our co-founder Aishah Fauzi was honoured with the Sustainable Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award by The Punch Community It’s a recognition of the work, care, and intention that has shaped Nadi from a small farm in the hills into the place it is today.

Much of what guests experience here — the permaculture farm, the slow meals at Nadi Farm Café, the respect for land and community — comes from Aishah’s belief that hospitality should nurture both people and nature.

At our small eco resort Bali, surrounded by rivers, rice fields and mountains, we try to create a space where travellers can slow down, reconnect with the land, and experience a more thoughtful way of staying.

Nadi continues to grow as a quiet nature retreat Bali, a boutique resort Bali rooted in regeneration and the spirit of slow travel Bali.

Spices are the soul of so many of our dishes — and one of the questions we get asked most at Nadi Farm Café is, “What spices do you use?” 🌿

Living in the mountains near Jatiluwih means we’re surrounded by fresh turmeric, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and other aromatic spices that grow naturally in this region of Bali. These flavours shape our Rajasthani Chicken Curry, our Balinese Opor, our masala chai — and so much more.

We’re thinking… should we host a Spice Masterclass in Bali? A hands-on session where you learn about Indonesian spices, how to toast and blend them, and how to use them in home-style cooking.
