Known as the Day of Silence, this day follows the inner and outer purification rituals of the preceding day, providing an opportunity for quiet introspection.

This year's Nyepi is on 19th March, and the Ogoh-Ogoh parade is on the evening of the 18th!

During the rainy season, it rains once a day, but so far it hasn't been continuous, and the temperature hasn't risen too much, making it quite pleasant.
Here in Penestanan, with its many rice fields and rivers, we've been able to get by without any flooding or inundation.
We pray for the safety of those affected by the floods and for their swift recovery.

12月のサンスクリット語で学ぶヴェーダーンタの勉強会について、講師の@Michika Medha 先生からのご紹介です。

今回は、バガヴァッド・ギーター第１８章を勉強します。

人生で、手放すべきものは何なのか？手放すべきでないものは何なのか？
そもそも、なぜ手放したり、手放さなかったりしないといけないのか？
結局、何を手に入れたら、私は完全に満たされたと言えるのか？
逆に、私がこの人生で「完全に満たされた」と言えないのはなぜなのか？
そして、毎日葛藤を抱えながら生きなければならない、社会や家族との関りと、
この自分の幸せの追求との関係は何なのか？

これらの疑問に完全に明確に答えているのがバガヴァッド・ギーターであり、
第18章はその集大成です。

バガヴァッド・ギーターを始め、ヴェーダーンタの経典は、
それらが伝えるべき正しい意味を教え継ぐ伝統の中で勉強する必要があります。
自分で訳本を読むなどして独学しても正しく理解できるものではないからです。
私の先生がそうしてくれたように、この勉強会でも、正しい意味を正しく理解できるよう、正確なコミュニケーションに専念します。
ご興味のある方は誰でもウェルカムです。
真実を知りたいと願う皆さんと、充実した時間をご一緒できるのを楽しみにしております。

期間：

① 2025年12/9（火）～13（土）5日間
② 2025年12/15（月）～19（金）5日間

そして今回はさらに、シャンカラーチャーリヤのバーシヤ（コメンタリー）も勉強します。

サンスクリット語を知らない人でも、日本語での話を聞いているだけで十分理解できる話の展開をしていきますが、
デーヴァナーガリー文字を読めれば、さらにサンスクリット語文法を知っていれば、
知っていれば知っているほど、楽しみは増えます。
かなりのボリュームになるので、今回の5日間X２＝10日間でも、７８あるシュローカの半分くらい（第４７シュローカまでが目標）勉強できることになると思います。
続きは、また次の勉強会に！ということで！
