Ubud is located 35 km northeast of Bali's International Airport. It is attractive to tourists for a variety of reasons. On a relatively small island with a horde of attractions, Ubud is centrally located, There are plenty reasons why Ubud was voted in recently as the most fascinating city of Asia by Condé Nast Traveler. The Ubud area is around two to three hundred meters above sea level and surrounded by rice fields, which makes it noticeably cooler than other tourist destinations in Bali. Neighbouring villages are well known for unique bamboo crafts and furniture, wood and stone carving and many other crafts. Ubud is famous for it's regularly nightly traditional dance performances, which are part of the traditional culture and are arranged for tourists on a regular schedule. Hindu-Balinese ceremonies take place on a nearly daily basis, especially in the European summer, which is the driest and coolest season here. Ubud is popular in part today because it is the best place in Bali to break out of the tourist mode and get off the beaten path, although far from undiscovered. Hotels are plentiful; home stays and Indonesian guesthouses (losmen) are easily available to the foreign tourist. Many tourists simply base their entire stay here and travel to other destinations from Ubud. Accommodations in Ubud are also somewhat more reasonably priced than in the beach towns of Bali. But atmosphere is perhaps the major attractions. One visitor summed it up this way: Kuta is madness, Sanur is sterile, and Nusa Dua is culturally isolated; Ubud is the place to go. Getting around

Villa Mangga is now a three bedroom Villa. The sunroom is now the third bedroom, attached are some photos of the new bathroom for the third bedroom .

We have just spent two months in our beautiful Villa Mangga. The Garden has had a lot of work, threes were taking over and some more paths were built.Hope you enjoy the photos and like what we have done. It will take about six months for the new plants (about 50 of them) to grow.

Villa Mangga has had a facelift, the day room has been upgraded with a 100 year old Javanese bed , as well as cupboards, air-conditioner and trifold doors so the room can be used as a day room or fully functional double bed bedroom. The adjoining bathroom now has hot water to accompany the room if it is used as a bedroom. Villa Mangga can now be used as either a 2 or 3 bedroom villa. Another happy guest at Villa Mangga.

Our second visit to Private ubud villas and just as good as the first time( stayed in villa Heliconia 2 yrs ago) . We loved villa Mangga , it was very spacious and clean and very Balinese . Great service from airport pick up to drop off. Outstanding caretaker Coco who looked after us so well and was responsive to our queries . Great value for money too

"this is our 3rd stay here and would you believe it just keeps getting better .
stunning garden ,roomy villa with great attention to detail .
we have watched this place grow with great enthusiam.10 minute brisk walk to ubud central or a 2 min taxi ride (3 dollars )
coffe at casa luna daily baguettes from the bakery and food from bali organik and should i mention bayi cafe anad mades in ubud all sensational .
