There’s a rhythm to life at Uluwatu Surf Villas. Scattered throughout the property are small temples and shrines, and throughout the day you’ll see offerings being placed, prayers being made, and incense burning in the breeze. There’s something about watching Ryan work that makes surfboard design feel less like a formula and more like a conversation with the ocean. Every rail and outline is there for a reason, built over years of riding, experimenting and paying attention.

Windows thrown open, warm light spilling onto the deck, the Indian Ocean carrying through the house, and nowhere you need to be until morning. Dinner lingers.
