One of the unique traditional hand-weaving bags in Raja Ampat is called  "KAPOWEN KEWRAI".
This unique indigenous handcraft is one of the many heritages from our Papuan ancestors until today and hopefully will be passed on to the future generations to come.

Kapowen has the highest cultural value of life and history. It's not just a random woven bag, but a bag that carries hopes & wisdom.
This woven bag is made of a specific bark of tree, where the trunk of the tree can be used as a floater for a traditional boat.
Kapowen can be made in different kinds of forms and shapes, depending on the use of purposes.
Kapowen can be used in a cultural and spiritual ceremony but also in a daily life to carry : sagos, sweet potatoes, cassava, coconut, and much more beyond imagination.

These KAPOWEN bags can be the future of sustainable eco-friendly shopping bags in Raja Ampat.

One of the favourite fish to have as a dish 😋
We call it "Ikan Tengiri" in local name...
I think it's called "Spanish Mackerel"🤗😋
What do you think???
