Categorized as a heritage house by the government due to its history. Back in the 70s, this house used to be an ice factory. Then in early 90s it became a distributor office for Viva Cosmetics, a famous Indonesian cosmetics brand, until the office closed down 10 years ago. And starting 20 December 2015, reopened as a home for travelers by bunch of crazy Indonesian travelers. The location itself is
very convenient to explore the city center by foot. The house is only a few minutes walking distance to Malioboro street and Kraton Yogyakarta. It can be reached easily by Becak (local rickshaw) from Tugu Train Station, taxi from Lempuyangan Train Station and Transjogja Bus from Adi Sucipto International Airport. Say no more, this house is perfect for you who wants to experience Yogyakarta local living without having to lose its prime location. You have to know, this is not a hotel. This is home, our home and we are sharing it with you. Nothing fancy, no AC, no hot shower. But we have put many efforts to revamped the house to make it cozy and beautiful without losing its vintage look. We collected old furniture and abandoned materials from the previous house owner and local surrounding areas and then by hand we recycled and reused all of the furniture by ourselves. We designed each furniture accordingly to our needs as a local and as a traveler. There are no specific rules in the house, other than be nice to each other and be nice to our lovely neighbors. The three of us are a bunch of Indonesian travelers who chose to be based in Yogyakarta. We regularly travel due to work and our passion.
