‼️ Fellow accommodation providers in the Achill area, over the next few weeks we kindly ask that you advise your guests to prebook if they wish to dine here at Achill Cliff House Hotel & Restaurant.

🍴 We are open 7 days a week.

In September we operate on a skeleton staff, and we must prioritise our own hotel residents as their meals are included in their package.

We also have a lot of prebookings for parties and events over the coming few weeks and weekends are quite full already.

☎️ If you/they call to prebook, we will do our best to fit you in. However, we cannot guarantee tables for walk-ins mid-service.

St. Colman's Care Centre is inviting the people of Achill, Mayo and beyond to join them this Sunday, 16th August, as they celebrate 40 years of dedicated service to the Parish of Achill.

The much-loved Annual Garden Fête returns to Keel from 12 noon, promising a day filled with family fun, music, food and entertainment for all ages.

For four decades, St. Colman's Care Centre has been at the heart of the community, providing care, support and companionship to generations of families across Achill. This year's Garden Fête will be a special celebration of that remarkable milestone.

🎡 On the day, visitors can enjoy:

- 🎯 Wheel of Fortune with fantastic prizes
- 🎟️ Monster Raffle with a top prize of €1,000
- 🎶 Live music throughout the afternoon
- 🏰 Bouncy castles for the children
- 🎨 Face painting
- ⚽ A special meet and greet with Mayo footballer Donnacha McHugh
- 🍔 Delicious food including seafood, boxty, BBQ and more
- 😊 Family fun and traditional games for all ages

The Garden Fête takes place at St. Colman's Care Centre, Keel, Achill Island (F28 D997), from 12 noon this Sunday.

Everyone is welcome to come along, celebrate 40 years of St. Colman's and support one of Achill's most important community organisations.

It’s been a while since we’ve posted here — what a summer it’s been! ☀️ Mostly lovely weather, plenty happening, and suddenly… we’re right in the middle of August. How did that happen?! 😄

And did you know… Mayo won the All-Ireland! 🏆💚❤️

Here at Achill Cliff House, we’ve had a brilliant summer filled with visitors, events and plenty of craic from the Achill Marathon, Dooagh Day Festival, Féile Dú Éige, Tarryfest, Inishbiggle Weekend, Scoil Acla and Mayo Kite Fest, and now we’re enjoying Féile Chill Damhnait and The Garden Fate on Sunday.

We’ve packed a lot into the summer, and it feels like it has all gone by in the blink of an eye!

And today we even have a partial solar eclipse to add to the list. 🌒✨

August is flying by, but there’s still plenty of summer left to enjoy here on Achill. 💚

Thanks to everyone who has visited, stayed with us, dined with us, called in for a drink, or simply stopped by to say hello. We’ve loved seeing so many familiar faces and welcoming so many new ones.

📣 Important Update – St. Colman's Garden Féte 2026 📣

To avoid a clash with the All-Ireland Football Final, we've made the decision to move this year's St. Colman's Garden Féte to Sunday, 16th August.

Our wonderful volunteers are the heart and soul of the Garden Féte every year. Many of them are also passionate Mayo supporters, and if they're lucky enough to get an All-Ireland ticket, we certainly couldn't ask them to choose between helping at the Féte and cheering on Mayo in Croke Park! 💚❤️

We hope this change gives everyone the chance to enjoy both occasions.

Please note that our Bingo on Monday, 27th July will go ahead as usual, along with our Fundraising Céilí on Tuesday held in partnership with Scoil Acla. We look forward to seeing you there!
