A little idea for September or October. 🍂

Come down for a couple of nights, bring the dog, spend your days exploring our beautiful Beara and spend your evenings tucked away in the Workshop.

There’s the bath, the log burner, the projector, an amazing sound system, the sauna & pond just outside and breakfast delivered to your door, if you fancy it.

It’s a simple few days away, but that’s really the whole point.

Sleeps two · dog friendly · €255 per night
Just 1 hour 15 minutes from Cork City.

Minimum 2 nights.

If this is you, you’re probably not looking for a traditional wedding venue in the first place. ✨

You’re probably imagining something smaller, slower and a little more personal. No huge guest list, no feeling like the whole day is running on a schedule.

Because a small wedding doesn’t have to feel like a smaller version of a big one.

It can be something entirely different.

A few days away with 12 of your favourite people.
A ceremony in the magical Irish countryside.
Gardens & woodlands instead of function rooms.
Mountains, sea air, old trees…
And time to actually be with the people who came all this way for you.

Just a beautiful place, a very small group, and enough time for the whole thing to feel like more than one day.

If you’ve been looking for somewhere in Ireland to do things a little differently…

you might have found it. ✨

There’s a little shift happening out here. 🍂

The first leaves have started to fall.
The hills are slowly losing their summer green - the heathers are painting them pink and purple, and the blackberries are finally ready for picking along the lanes.

The days are still long, but you can feel it turning.

We have just two stays left before August slips away.

For anyone wanting a few days of country air, slow moments, wild swims, blackberry-stained fingers and nowhere particularly important to be.

Our last two stays in August - Swipe to see available & rooms 👉🏻

Maybe you weren’t planning on going anywhere next week…

…but our French Room has just become available for two nights from Wednesday 19th August, and we thought we’d put it out there.

If life has been a little full lately, Beara is a pretty good place to go missing for 48 hours.

No big itinerary required. 🤍

A few iPhone photos from the Workshop today. Nothing staged, just how it looks on a quiet Sunday afternoon before guests arrive. 🤎

I usually reach for my camera when photographing our spaces, but there’s something I love about the simplicity of taking a phone out and capturing the little things as they are.

And there are a lot of little things in here.

Old switches and bells, exposed copper pipes, Belfast brick walls, pieces collected over the years, the old industrial details we chose to leave visible rather than hide away. A freestanding bath, a proper shower, a beautiful little kitchen, a big bed to disappear into and a wood burner for cosy evenings.

It’s not a perfectly polished space, and it was never meant to be. There’s history in it, a little eccentricity, and so many details you probably only really notice once you’ve been here for a day or two.

With the quieter months slowly approaching, this is when we start loving the Workshop most. The vibe we all seem to reach for when autumn starts to show.

Fire lit. Candle light diner at home. A long bath. A film before bed and that feeling of escapism after a busy summer.

Hanno’s Workshop is open throughout the quieter months for two - and pups are very welcome too. 🤎
