Hi folks. Well I think its only right to keep you updated.
As the crew move on to their new adventures, we are now on the wind down.
Come Tuesday, we won't have a full crew to operate. So we are taking our last food orders (can't believe I'm typing this😔) at 5:30pm on Monday.
When the housekeeping is done, the crew are sitting down to a well deserved drink together for the last time.
I know Mondays not a great day to go for a drink (doesn't matter to us because we don't have to go to work on tuesday🙈) but if you're out, call in for a pint.

Well I never thought I'd see the day!!!!
I dont want to bore you all with blame etc as to why but I do want to say... from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU.
Thank you all for the years of support, the good times and most of all, the friendships.
We have had some great years in Murphys. Friendships were made, marriages, celebrations and other strange things 😂 but sadly the time has come.
We are closing our doors...
We plan on closing off in the next few weeks as and when our staff find new beginnings.
We are going to miss all those good times but we will hold some fond memories.
From our time back in Larry's Bar 12 years ago to Murphys in Pearse Street then Mardyke street. My god we had some good times. The fun, laughs, the ups and downs, will never ever ever be forgotten.
Thank you to my family and friends for your advice, help and support that guided me through the years.
Now for BIG HUGE THANK YOU..
Thank you to our staff both past and present. Without you all, we were nowhere. You have all put your hard earned sweat into bailing us out day in day out. I again have gained so many friends and will always respect what you all did for us. You are the most sound and genuine bunch I have ever worked and spent time with.

To my poor wife n kids.. Thank you for the support you have given over all those years. From leaving you all to fly home every week to mind larrys, the sleepless nights organising and helping run the business, my tantrums 🤪 sharing my worries and everything else, Thank you.
Thank you to Mandy for looking after the mounds of paperwork week in week out. My god you have some patience and a special Thank you to Joe who has stood by my side, helped me through some rough times with lockdowns, floods etc etc and never let me down and I have to mention my big bro. He was the one that pegged me into Larry's and put me where I am now. Thank you. I love you.

We wish the best of luck to all our staff in their future, you will all do well and we wish you all a happy future.
