Wow! All weathers - but a great June bank holiday weekend. Thank you to everyone for making it the best!

Availability update:
June - availability for all dates, right now - for ALL pitch types.
August (July 31st - August 2nd) bank holiday weekend is fully booked for EVERY pitch-type.

For TENTS (only) July 4th, 24th and 25th are fully booked and there is limited availability for July 3rd, July 10/11 and August 14/15. There is still some availability for caravans and campervans for most July dates (other than the 31st!!) and most August dates (other than 1st and 2nd), right now.
For CARAVANS and TENTS (only) there is VERY limited availability over the weekend of July 17/18 (Walderstown Road Races weekend...'Race of the South'...less than 5 miles away) ..... but still availability for campervans!

A great weekend done ....and the weather just gets better! Looking forward to the bank holiday weekend...which is fully booked - sorry to those who hoped for cancellations!

The availability update - first, both the June (May 29th - 31st) and August (July 31st - August 2nd) bank holiday weekends are fully booked for EVERY pitch-type.
For TENTS (only) July 24/25 is fully booked and there is limited availability for July 3/4, July 10/11 and August 14/15.
For CARAVANS (only) there is limited availability over the weekend of July 17/18 (Walderstown Road Races weekend...'Race of the South').

Great weekend.....a deluge on Saturday night, but once that was over....back to 'business as usual' with 4 seasons in a day....but leaning towards warmth. Summer is (very nearly) here....and shorts were worn (by some) to prove it!!
Update on availability:
ALL pitches booked out 29/30/31 May (waiting list for cancellations also closed) and July 31, 1/2 August;
Tent pitches (only) booked out 10/11 July and 24/25 July.
Thank you, again, to everyone who made the weekend so enjoyable....and to Dave Cassin who took this great shot last week.....loving those colours - I know you included it in my last post, but it deserves a prime spot!!

Lovely weather with us!! Looking good for the May Bank Holiday weekend, too. No change on the status of the May and June bank holiday weekends (May 1-3 and May 29 - 31)....both still booked out. The August weekend has just joined them - also fully booked now!
The annual RTE Drama Festival in Athlone is starting on Thursday 30th, ahead of the bank holiday weekend - with plays performing nightly in the Dean Crowe Theatre until May 8th, and their Gala Awards night on May 9th at the Radisson!
Then on to the Bealtaine Fire Festival - at the Hill of Uisneach - May 9th and 10th, so, lots going on over the next few weeks.

While she uploaded this and another photo in a FB message to us this week, I had to use Linda Collins's spectacular April sunset photo across Lough Ree for this week's post. Thanks, Linda!
A lot of lovely visitors again, over the past week - lots of new faces and quite a few old friends - it's great seeing everyone and taking time for a chat!
For anyone who's wondering, no cancellations coming in for the bank holiday weekends yet...but there's lots of availability for almost every other weekend! For our UK visitors, we still have availability for your Spring Bank Holiday weekend (May 22nd - 25th) and for our England Wales and Northern Ireland visitors, we have availability for your August Bank Holiday weekend (August 28th - 31st)!
Looking forward to seeing everyone throughout the season.

Despite all the efforts of Storm David, we had a great weekend! Thanks Joanne Lennon for capturing the moment on Saturday and allowing me to share : )
A great launch weekend - thank you to everyone.

Now....the update on availability - or lack of it! The bank holiday weekends are getting booked out earlier and earlier every year - some pitch types gone by February this year!

We have availability for all dates OTHER than:
The May Bank Holiday Weekend (May 1 - 3) - fully booked
The June Bank Holiday Weekend (May 29 - 31) - caravan and tent pitches are fully booked BUT a small number of campervan/motorhome pitches still available - but not for long.
The weekend of July 24/25 is booked out for tents!
The August Bank Holiday Weekend (August 1 - 3) - caravan and tent pitches are fully booked BUT a small number of campervan/motorhome pitches still available - but, again, not for long.
As a famous Irish chain says 'once they're gone, they're gone!'.....

Easter pitches are fully booked! 🐣
While our caravan pitches are fully booked for all bank holiday weekends, we still have some availability for campervans/motorhomes and tents for those weekends. (May 1-3 and 29-31 and July 31 - August 3rd)

Just a quick update - our caravan pitches are fully booked for ALL bank holiday weekends - Easter, May, June and August (July 31 - August 2nd). I still have some availability for campervans /motorhomes and tents for each of those weekends.

Welcome to the 2026 season! Almost!
We're opening on April 3rd - Good Friday, however lots of you are getting organized early and weekends, in particular the bank holiday weekends, are booking up quickly this year. Right now - and it's changing by the hour - we have limited availability for tents on the weekend before the August bank holiday (July 24 - 26) and both the June and August BH weekends are getting close to capacity.
Thanks to everyone who has booked - and to everyone who has made contact with us. Looking forward to seeing you all over the coming months.
